MIDICAP consists of a lower part made of copper in accordance with DIN EN 5821 and a steel top with a flat-head screw at its center. It contains an internal LED sensor board powered by a button cell battery.
MIDICAP is mounted on the electrode taper of the fixed welding arm and replaces the electrode during welding program setup.
Bring the MIDICAP close to the welding position until it makes contact with the metal sheet. Then adjust the angle relative to the part until the LED indicator activates, confirming that the electrode cap is aligned at 90° (±3°) to the metal sheet.

The product functions, specifications and operating instructions described in this document apply to the standard MIDICAP product.
(Custom versions can be designed to meet customer-specific requirements.)
