Chengdu Tool Research Institute Co., Ltd. was formerly known as Tool Research Institute of the First Ministry of Machine Building Industry. In 1999, it was restructured into a technology-based enterprise and affiliated to China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH). It is mainly engaged in the research of basic and generic technologies such as modern high-efficiency cutting tools, advanced tool materials, surface modification technology, precision measuring instruments and equipment, as well as the R&D and industrialization of high-tech products. It also undertakes industrial technical work for the national tool industry, including development planning, product standard formulation, and product quality supervision and inspection. Its products are widely applied in industries including tools (cutting tools & molds), automobile, bearings, energy (petroleum, geology, steam turbine, wind power, etc.), gears, aerospace, rail transit and other fields.
